This is a great story of adventure that documents Tim Severins, ,Arthur Magans,George Malony & Trondur Patursson 1976 sail across the North Atlantic from Ireland to North America in a currach, recreating the legendary voyage of St Brendan the Navigator. The crew stopped off in the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and finally reaching Newfoundland in North America. St Brendan lived during the sixth century, and is one of the most famous Irish saints who may even have reached America in his travels.
